After school today I had a few students stop by. Bedya from advanced math as well as Jean from my sophomore algebra class had a few questions each. I spent quite a bit of time going over their questions. Bedya was asking about college and business classes, so I told her what type of classes that a person majoring in business would take. We also went over some of the difficult problems from her assignment as they are learning polar coordinates for those of you who remember some of the material from advanced math (pre-calculus). It seems like it is one of the harder concepts for them to study since there are so many different ways of measuring coordinates and since up to this point we usually use (x,y) but now have introduced a few different ways.

After helping Bedya, I sat with Jean and helped him through several problems as he was concerned about the test the following day. Once we were finished, I noticed that it was 7:30PM! I couldn't believe how long we had been there going over problems. It did take quite some time, but at least he should be prepared!
