I spent most of my time today in the office and anticipating the two men from Gonaives to show up and work on the generator. We were told that they would begin working late this evening when they returned from Port au Prince. Instead of flying, they took a bus all the way there and back. A one way trip is between 6 – 8 hours so it was going to take them all day.

Later this evening, after dinner, my roommates and I were getting pretty hot since the wind wasn’t blowing much at all, so we decided to go out to the school rooftop to cool down. We spent about an hour or so on the roof talking and watching meteors fall from the sky. There isn’t much light pollution so you can see thousands of stars at night. It is very relaxing.
