Today I spent time after school meeting with Bedya to teach her more about computers. I had found a typing program and began teaching her how to type. I have to tell her what fingers to use for each of the keys, however the lessons do a pretty good job at going in order from the “home row” through the remaining keys. It must seem very foreign to her since it took a few seconds just to find the “e” key when she was typing her name into the program before she started. I have forgotten how difficult typing was to learn back when I had typing class in high school. As for teaching her about computers, I wanted to make sure she knows how to type before I show her anything else, especially email.
