Today I spent most of my time reading and doing odds and ends of work. I also spent some time writing to friends since I have the extra time. Later in the afternoon I worked in the office since we were able to connect the inverter to power my laptop and the satellite so I could get online to do some work.

As for the generator, we won’t be able to get the parts until Friday so we will be out of power for a little longer. In any case, we only have fuel for two more days, so if the main generator was running it wouldn’t last long. This way, we are forced to use the smaller generator which uses less fuel to power what is truly important such as our refrigerators and water tower. Fortunately for me, I don’t really need the air conditioning because I get a nice breeze though my bedroom window at night. I just wish I had a little power at night because it gets dark around 6:00PM and it isn’t too easy to read next to a few candles. In reality, it is nice to go a few days without so you can focus on what is important and once we get electricity again we will appreciate it so much more!
