Today I spent most of the morning setting up my room. I put up a lot of math posters which were in storage and had to use hot glue to get them to stay up. Everyone tells me that sticky tack does not work for very long here.
Later today it rained very hard and for several hours. I wasn’t expecting so much rain since it rained very hard from the start. I thought it would be over quickly as I watched the streets flood. The alley in front of our place was flooding a little over a foot deep and washing a multitude of trash away. The rain started around 5PM or so and continued hours after I had gone to bed. I left my window open a crack because my room would have been too hot to sleep in had I closed it. Periodically, I would wake to a mist of rain being blown in and onto my face. It was very slight, but as I said, had I closed it, my room would have been really hot. It’s a matter of give and take.
