Roger and Norma are Back!

This past week has been a great one. On Monday, Roger and Norma returned after being away for over three months. As you may recall, Roger had a heart attack on the first day of school and here we are, three months later and they have come back. He had been in the U.S. during this time recovering from surgery and we are very happy to have him back in good health again. I know that John surely missed Roger with all of the generator problems we had on top of his regular work at the construction site. Now, whenever something comes up, it will be much easier to ask than to make phone calls to the U.S. and to try to describe something that can be very technical. Most importantly though, it is good to see their smiles, to hear their laughs, and to be able to sit down and talk with them during lunch. I'd say that if you haven't met Roger or Norma, they are worth the trip down here. The ministry, of course, is well worth the visit, but to share a conversation with the couple who has lived here for 25+ years and live a Christ centered life is always amazing. To hear perspectives, what they have learned, what they enjoy, how happy they are...it is always great to be in their presence!
