After school today, Bedya and Dorothy showed up for computer lessons. Today they wanted to get on the internet and create email addresses and to get on Facebook. Since both have improved with their typing I decided to help them out. I showed them both how to create an account and how to sign up for facebook. I have found it interesting that several students have Facebook accounts here. I don't know if anyone has internet access at home, but there are cyber-cafes here where they can get online. I mostly want to teach them the benefits of the internet with regards to research, business/commerce, etc., but at the same time I also want to show them a few of the fun things about the internet as well. It's fun to see the reactions of someone who has never been on the internet before and to help them along.
