Most of us arrived back safely today and began to get settled in. The only problem we had was that a power line running to our house had been cut. We did have power, but the power running to the air-conditioners and the water pump was cut. We could see the line running from our house and it was tied off to a concrete wall on the other side of the road. The line that was still hot was lying in the street just a few feet away. Not knowing which breaker this line came from, we left it alone for the moment. We had 110 volts throughout the house, but the air-conditioners and water pump run off 220v. Fortunately for us, it could easily be fixed tomorrow when John arrives.
