Today I helped Kathy and Grant, a retired couple who are here for a few months, buy some calling cards. They were here for a few months last year to help and went back to Florida where they live. They returned this year again to help out again. They didn't know where to go so I walked down the street with them and with my limited Creole I told a woman at a small stand on the street that I wanted to buy 16 Digicel calling cards (enough to call the U.S. for at least an hour). Kathy had found out that her mother wasn't doing well and probably wouldn't make it much longer so she wanted to call home. She said they would probably have to leave soon and had known that this may be coming. Her mother has not been doing too well and stopped eating and drinking yesterday. I don't know too many more details, but if you would keep her in your prayers I would be grateful.
